HANAPA!!!

HANAPA means “hook up, score, or get.” so when you see a boat in hawaii coming in with those flags, it means, HANAPA! they got a lot of big fish!!!

this boat only had 1 flag. i think the yellow flag is the mahimahi flag? correct me if i’m wrong… but either way, these guys are going to eat sashimi for sure…

something i never wanted to do is to parasail. i don’t like to be in high places unless i have to. and i don’t have to be up there so i won’t parasail….

traveling is about making friends. shun met gen 3 years ago in hawaii and ever since then, they hang out, surf, and have fun like kids are supposed to. gen speaks fluent japanese which makes shun’s trips to hawaii a lot more comfortable. thanks gen….

ever since seth started surfing, he’s been making the funniest faces. in bali, i thought we fixed the problem. the first day there, every single photo had this face. then by the last day, seth was smiling in every photo. 4 months later, he forgot to smile. so i’m posting this photo as a reminder to kids that if somebody is shooting you, put on a happy face[:????????$B!r(B:] not this face[:??????:]
