steel cable maker? everywhere i go, my eyes wonder. especially in japan because i want to see what i’ve been missing all my life. soko ga shiritai was my favorite show on kiku tv in hawaii 15 years ago. now, i don’t like to watch it because my eyes have been way deeper into japan than that. i wish i had a video camera attached to my eyes for the past 20 years. the things i’ve experienced are probably too much for a show like that. deep is where i go and when i see the things i do, i appreciate japan even more…. culture never dies….
to your normal japanese person, this is normal. but to me, i find simple things like this interesting. if i were to buy a house in japan, it would have to be an old school house like this one, or like the ones in kyoto. i love the smell of old wood and tatami mats. it reminds me of my grandpa and grandma osaki and the houses they built in hawaii. and someday, i hope to be living there….
“I have a Wonderful Life” were the words my long lost aunty hi-chan told me when i went to visit her in yokohama. since then, those words stuck into my mind. when i get 93 years old like her, i want to be able to tell everybody the same thing. so far, i’m on the same track and it’s all because of my older generations that taught me how to life a happy life….
