i’ve been flying standby for the past 4 years so just waiting around to see if i can get on a flight is stressful at times. luckily a very kind man game me his miles last year and this was the golden chance to finally use it. my first time flying on Korean Airlines and my first time in a while to have an assigned seat. no stress this time.
i didn’t realize how far Korea was. 11 hours! i watched 3 movies, read a book, and ate, ate, and ate.
i’d have to say the food is top quality! this is just the salad.
followed by the main course bibimbap. better than many restaurants in hawaii.
this was cool. hot sauce in a tube.
and of course, some cheese and fruits for dessert followed by hagen daz ice cream. i’d have to rate the service, food, and seat 5 stars!
as i was landing, the pilot came on the intercom and said the weather was minus 3 degrees. what? so i opened my window and seen snow everywhere! cool! it’s been a long time since i seen snow so i was super happy!
Korean Airlines in Korea? i had to step into the lounge and check it out. have a 2.5 hour layover before heading to cambodia. going to eat everything, drink everything, take a shower, and get ready for my next flight.
it’s kind of like my vacation so i should enjoy it. kampai!
see you in cambodia later tonight! my brother is going to pick me up from the airport. we spend a night in the city, then head to the orphanage tomorrow. to tell you the truth, i’m a bit nervous. but at the same time, i’m excited to finally meet the kids that changed my brothers life forever.
