i had a meeting appointment yesterday at my friends condo with the property manager. the property manager told me 1:30pm. i told her ok because i was in between jobs. i show up early like usual, 1:10pm to be exact. i wait. 1:30pm passes. ok, this is hawaii so i should wait? umm, i give her 5 minutes. she doesn’t come so i leave at 1:35pm for my next job. she calls me at 1:40pm and says “kirby, where are you?” i told her “i left.” she said “why?” i said “because you were late.” she said “but you told me 1:30pm?” i said “yes i did, but it’s not 1:30pm, it’s 1:40pm now.” she seemed puzzled. not me. i don’t like to wait around and i’m too busy to go by hawaiian time. so i tell her to try me another time. she said ok and i hung up. i know she was upset because i could hear it in her voice. but she should be upset only to herself. i am just too busy to wait for people even 5 minutes because that means i will be late for my next appointment for 5 minutes and make that person wait. no way, that’s not how i work. no hawaiian time for me, i’m on japan time so be there or i’m leaving! haha.
shot some photos recently of some friends. Saito-san has been a member of our We Are One missions and has supported the people of tohoku in a big way.
Kanae-san just started bodyboarding and i was super stoked to see her taking off on a big wave and smiling!
Ayaka Suzuki has been an Official Go-Naminori Blogger for a while now and has so much passion in her lifestyle. good to see her growing up into a fine young lady.
Go-Naminori official blogger Takuji Makino out surfing bowls. a great surfer with a lot of talent! good hang 5 and good smile!
and always good to see Local Motion Maki-san in the water. good wave, good vibe, and good friend.
i think i’m going to start shooting more now that i see the results of my friends so happy! the ocean is our life and everything else comes after. see you all in the water.
