i was watching the cool sailboat races the yacht club puts on every friday night. so cool!
and yesterday’s sunset was even cooler. seen it from hawaii kai going down over diamond head. so beautiful!
and been hearing the stories of the 40 year snow storm in tokyo. glad my friends are ok. check out his cute snowman Miwa-san made on her car. cool!
Joshua Moniz in australia right now competing in the jr. pro. Go-Josh!
yes, culture still going strong. some people in the world hunt whales for food. this is a pretty amazing hunting style.
had a super good time with Takagaki-san and Kiyomi-san this morning surfing bowls. so many good rides and so many good smiles. two very nice people enjoying surfing in hawaii.
Takagaki-san came to hawaii 20 times so he’s a local. i was happy to take him to a back road shave ice stand he’s never went to before called “Waiola.”
then went surfing with Team Ina in the afternoon. we paddle out, get great waves, paddle in, and see a shark sighted sign on the beach. people seen a 10′ tiger shark when we were out in the ocean. funny huh? Inaida-san’s shark sign and Yuki-san smiling like usual. gosh, look how black Inaida-san is. darker than me. haha.
another long hot summer day in hawaii. surfed for 4 hours and totally sunburnt. tomorrow same thing! have a great evening.
