gosh, it feels so good to have the Mr. Blue sky back. and also Mr. Tradewinds. super clean water and warm cool days to come! i love it!
Shun Murakami’s winning streak continues. he just started surfing the JPSA recently and is just dominating! check out his scores in his big win yesterday in Niijima. great job Shun! we all knew you could do it!
last night was a night to remember. our 30 year Kaiser High School Class of 1985 Reunion. we had it at Roy’s in hawaii kai and it felt great to see everybody so healthy and happy.
we all had to wear a name tag. and when i wrote my name on mine, i thought to myself “gosh, i still have the exact handwriting as i did in high school.” somethings never change.
had to sneak in behind my wonderful girls. i had more girls as friends then guys in high school so i guess you can say i was a very lucky kid. Holli, Candace, and Pua.
before the night was over, i had to walk around and take photos before i forgot.
these are the KHS boys! gosh, we had some pretty awesome memories back in the old days. these guys got your back all the time. and still would.
it was good seeing Stacy Loe. super good friend from high school becoming one of the most famous news casters in hawaii. if you live in hawaii, you would have seen Stacy every single day on tv. super cool chick!
Lori and Jody were very quiet girls in high school. now they drink more than me. haha.
Bernard, Chico, Steve, and Andy were my really good friends in high school. i was always the smallest one in high school so they would pretty much protect me. and because of that, nobody would ever touch me. i wouldn’t if i were you. haha.
my 2 best of the best friends i have. if it weren’t for Holli and Candace that have supported me and stuck by my for the past 35 years, i’d be a very different person. maybe i’d be in jail, maybe i’d be homeless, and maybe i’d be lonely. but now because of them, i’m the happiest person in the world. love you girls!
Julie Yamamoto moved from the mainland to hawaii. i remember the first day she walked into my math class in 7th grade. every since that first “hello,” we’ve become very good friends. now she’s married to my friend Don King, and have 3 beautiful kids. every time we see each other, we have lots of catching up to do. i love this girl.
i was very happy last night. seeing my friends so healthy and happy was awesome. we all walked a different path 30 years ago, but here we all are again today. i have many friends in the world, but these guys are my core. they made me the way i am. each and every one playing a special part in my life. i’m very fortunate to have them in my life and it feels so good to be loved so much. i was like a wild animal in high school and these guys kept me in the cage. thank goodness for that.
if you were there last night, you all know that we all came one step closer as precious friends. and if you weren’t, you kind of missed out big time. it was by far the best reunion we’ve had and i’m looking forward to our next one! keep on moving forward Kaiser Cougars!!!!
