yesterday was a crazy cool day! just spending the afternoon in nature and nature provided.
provided us with perfect waves and only 2 other surfers out. i swear surfing at this time of year is the best! people think the summer is over but for us, it’s far from over. Yumichan surfing so well!
it couldn’t have been a better day to longboard. super long perfect wave after wave. Yumichan caught so many good ones. then as we were on the outside waiting for another wave, i saw a huge splash on the outside. OMG! dolphins!!!
i tell Yumichan, “hey, let’s go swim with the dolphins.” she looks at me as if i was crazy. i tow her out, and we paddled right in the middle of the pod of dolphins jumping and playing. it was amazing!
i haven’t seen the dolphins that playful for a long time. i was paddling along with them and they were jumping all around us. it was crazy!
Yumichan was stoked. i told her she was a very lucky girl because i never see dolphins in the afternoon.
it was her lucky day!

we ended up following the pod out to the deep blue sea. it was amazing!
then we take our happy photo on a picture perfect day! then i look at the land and think “omg, we are soooo far out at sea!
then the long paddle back in. i towed Yumichan in, we caught one more wave, and this was by far our best session ever. surfing is only getting better and better! thank you Yumichan for the wonderful lucky afternoon. and want to say hello to Yumichan’s mother. heard she checks out my blog. cool! hope to surf with you too someday!
