had a beautiful afternoon with Akane-san yesterday. a very cool girl with many dreams that are going to come true! it started in the blue ocean, and ended in the golden sunset. this is freaking beautiful!
ok, so we go out to the ocean for a dive. it was so dam rough that it was hard even getting out of the harbor. then i almost fell off the boat throwing in the anchor. these are the kind of days even the veterans get seasick.
i finally figured out a new technique on teaching people how to free dive. one part is physical, the the other part is mental. the physical part is clearing your ears while descending. i tested out a new technique i tried on Asayama-san and it worked perfectly. so i tried it out on Akane-san yesterday and it worked on the first try. the mental part is the bigger obstacle. all i had to do was tell Akane-san that a 67 year old man just dove here the other day and made it to the bottom easily. she said “what? really?” i think she got inspired or something because she not only dove down deeper, but she stayed down super long. she owes that to Asayama-san. haha.
i was just playing around. i was actually trying to take a 3 minute nap lying on the ocean floor. just looking up at the most amazing view and keeping calm. i swear i almost fell asleep. i felt like i was in another world. and yes, i really was.
wow! look at my box of goodies that just arrived in japan! can’t wait to go next week and pick it up! it’s like opening a christmas present from santa claus. thank you Maneuverline!
shucks, my suunto watch strap loop broke again. i just sent them an email for a replacement. last time, they gave me one for free. i’m wondering what they will do this time?
i wanted my car to smell good yesterday so i picked a fresh gardenia off my plant and had the most natural air freshener.
i was so happy that i jumped off a cement wall over the sunset. i was about 8′ in the air and landed pretty hard on the ground. i almost freaking broke my ankle. omg! i’ll never do that again. i have to remember i’m not a teenager anymore. haha. but hey, this photo shows how much i enjoy every precious moment of the day. and when i’m 70 years old, i’m sure i’ll be doing the same thing.
