omg, the waves today were amazing! 6 hours of surfing and too many waves to count. just totally having fun riding the beautiful ocean! surfed this morning with Fujiki-san at bowls. super fun and super clean!
Fujiki-san got some big waves. i was super stoked to see him charging bowls like this! it was full on locals only but he managed to get some good ones. this is overhead!
a few rights too. awesome surfing!
good waves results in good smiles. shaka!
when i pulled up this morning, there was no parking at all. totally full and nobody leaving. so we left and i was planning to park my car somewhere else, then i get a call from my friend Lance, “hey kirby, come back, you can have my parking.” omg! i did a U-turn and he was waiting for me. stoked to have awesome friends like that.
tried something new. new restaurant and i would rate it pretty high. i’ll go back there again for sure. will give you the info soon.
thank you Fujiki-san for the wonderful day, and for the wonderful sweets. and also thank you for the gift for Mateus. i’m sure he will be very happy when he sees it.
wow! a new Yamari shop? omg, amazing!
i better go to wakayama soon to check it out. congratulations Kimura-san and the Yamari family. hope to see you guys soon.
they had a flotilla party in the water off waikiki beach. the reason people do this is because it is illegal to drink alcohol on any beach in hawaii. if you get caught, you will go to jail. BUT, it’s legal to drink alcohol in the ocean. yeah, so have a flotilla right off the beach and everybody can party! it just goes to show you that everybody is thinking of a ways around the law.
the sad thing is when the party people leave, they also leave their rubbish behind. yes, this is what waikiki beach looked like the next morning. so many locals were shocked to see this, including me.
surfers get really upset seeing things like this. why would anybody want to litter the ocean and beaches? i just don’t understand.
hey party people, please pick up your trash. leave our island the way you found it. thank you
