Kunitake-san came to hawaii yesterday for his first time in his life. he requested to surf the north shore so today was his debut in the hawaiian ocean. luckily, we left waikiki at 6:30am so when we arrived on the north shore, it was still uncrowded with perfect conditions.
when i passed by Laniakea, i looked out to the ocean and couldn’t believe how good it was! we stopped and we got ready for an awesome surf session. omg, the waves were absolutely perfect!
got some nice photos, including this beautiful duck dive photo of Kunitake-san. deep blue lanis!
after surfing for 3 hours, we were starving! so i had 2 proposals: one is we eat average food on the north shore? or the second was to drive back to town and eat excellent food. the second is what i usually do and Kumitake-san agreed. good choice dude. it’s always good to put good food in your stomach after a good surf.
then we ate local style sitting on the back of the truck. only in hawaii.
omg, the food is the best here! these are mini plates that only cost $8. want to thank my friend Dion who owns this awesome local shop. he’s always giving us samples and the biggest bonus mini’s!
then a sweet little girl asked me what kind of cookies i like the best. i told her “lacy cookies!” so she got to work in the kitchen and tried to make it for the first time out of scratch.
and it came out absolutely perfect! omg, the best lacy cookies in hawaii! thank you little princess!
