coming to Hawaii and surfing for the first time is pretty cool. and i’m always the lucky one to show people how to enjoy paradise. so stoked to teach the Saito-san family surfing for their very first time.
Atsushi-kun is 15 years old. he was super energetic and wanted to catch bigger and bigger waves. so happy when kids like to take the challenge.
i asked him “do you like Hawaii?” he answered “i love Hawaii!” haha.
Miho-san speaks perfect english and surfed perfectly. look at her go!
these are my favorite shots because nobody knows the camera is on. so this is as real as a smile gets.
Saito-san caught some really good waves too. super good balance and flow.
i’m pretty sure this family is hooked on surfing. and i’m pretty sure they had a great afternoon nap. haha. thank you for the wonderful morning Saito-san family!
the Diamond Head shot! enjoy the ride.
the other day i was at Makapuu, i seen this tourist family pull up. mom, dad, and kids. then i seen the kids climbing over the rails to take selfies. they don’t know that a strong gust of wind or a loose rock will wipe them off the cliff and kill them. i was watching in disbelief as their parents were taking photos of them too.
then the kids started throwing big rocks over the cliff. that’s when i yelled “hey! stop throwing rocks off the cliff! there are people down there!!!” i wanted to add “stupid” at the end but if i did, i’d probably get into a fight with the parents. haha.
