Tanno-san is part of Progress Surf in Sendai. surfed for 20 years so knows a lot of people i know up there. such a great surfer with the surfers soul. wanted to say hello to Okubo-san! long time no see and hope to see you soon!
it was Sonoe-san’s first time surfing. when we paddled out, she was scared and thought she wouldn’t be able to stand up. but after a few tries, she did it!
then instead of saying “scary,” she kept on saying “so fun!”
then it got more and more fun as Sonoe-san got better and better, happier and happier.
Tanno-san is a very kind man. how do i know? because he’s here for 4 days and dedicated today’s surf primarily for his wife. and today was the only day he’s surfing! that’s dedication! something i could never do for any woman. haha.
it was Sonoe-san’s first time she saw her husband surf. and she kept on saying “he’s cool!”
nothing can beat the bond surfing can give any newlyweds.

then we went to eat poke at Da Hawaiian Poke Company. delicious!
