MANA: Local Outer Island Style

222

want to thank Fujiwara-san for the awesome Japanese snacks! itadakimasu!

this centipede looked dead next to my bed so i let it go for a couple of days. then when i went to throw it away, it woke up and started going crazy. omg, it was alive!

so Renton did me the favor and grabbed it.

brave kid. nobody else wanted to touch it.

i taught this girl how to snorkel in a pool when she was only 4 years old. now she’s in the open ocean swimming around like a mermaid. in this case, looking for shells. that makes me a very happy man!

every trip i learn a lot more about Molokai. i learn more about nature, more about people, more about aloha, more about giving, and more about how to live that lifestyle. it won’t be long before i go back.

and when you can learn from the local people, it makes it even better. so when people ask me about Molokai, i tell them “you can’t stay in a hotel to feel the MANA (power), you have to live the simple life everybody else does. then you can feel the love, the life, and the MANA. this is the part i want to share with my family and friends. because this is the part that’s fading away on Oahu. but never will on Molokai…
