ok, Mount Agung is finally doing what it was forecasted to do. a couple small eruptions and many expecting a huge one. some flights out of Bali were already cancelled and if it gets worst, a lot more will follow. i’m planning some Indonesia trips next year but i’m staying far away from Bali because i don’t want to get stuck there for months.
Mother Nature is so amazing. i would be in total awe if i saw this with my own eyes.
the last WQS is happening this week at Sunset Beach. if Josh Moniz wins it, he will be on the WCT next year. if anybody can do it, this kid can. Josh grew up surfing Sunset Beach and has the experience to pull it off. and coming off his 9th place at Halewia last week, he’s on a roll. Go-Joshua!
i still can’t believe how good the ocean was to me. i came home and had to think what i did differently. then i remembered that i went to the bottom and closed my eyes for a while. i was just trying to feel the ocean and be at peace. then when i opened my eyes to come up, there were fish all around me. it was crazy! now i hope my new diving technique works in the deep blue!
