any surf trip with me, it’s mandatory to get up before first light. in this case, 4:30am. reason is i want to always be the first one in the lineup. nothing beats the feeling of catching your first wave first thing in the morning.
Aoi was super stoked when we pulled up to the beach. perfect firing barrels everywhere. i told him to put down his phone and get his ass out there! take photos and snapchat later!!! haha.
as i mentioned many times before, Taiwan is my 2nd best destination for best in the world. it’s right behind number one Japan! just simple tofu is delicious.
and this is my favorite! sharanpo!
i’m trying to teach Aoi as much as possible in this trip. how to do everything on his own. i just stand back and watch him trying to communicate with the Taiwanese people. we can’t speak Taiwanese, they can’t speak English or Japanese. we communicate through body language. and when you can buy a fresh coconut through body language, you’re a happy boy. haha.
after driving in on the right side in Hawaii, then driving on the left side in Japan, then right side again in Taiwan again, i’m so confused!!! almost 2 head on collisions! very close calls. so now Matsu is doing the driving.
we’re just driving around exploring new things. this new restaurant was the first for all of us. and it turned out to be delicious.
guess how much this bowl of noodles was? yes, only $1.
we rented the biggest car possible this time. and it turned out to be the best thing!
i don’t say this only because Matsu is my friend, i say this because this is the truth. Matsu is one of the best photographers in the world. and to travel with him is amazing because all or wonderful memories get preserved in the best possible way.
and Matsu is an expert in taking food photos. this hot/sour soup doesn’t only look good, it was good!
