went to a wonderful dinner at Cafe Miro. one of my most favorite restaurant! started off with a cold beer and chilled potato soup.
then had the fresh oysters along with a bottle of champagne.
then when the lamb came out, it was time for red wine.
Takahashi-san doesn’t drink red wine at all but he ordered a bottle anyway.
i was watching him as he was trying to figure out the aroma and taste. it took me a while to start liking wine but once i did, i love it now.
Takahashi-san still trying to figure it out. smell it, then take a sip. smell it, then take a sip.
smell it again, and take a sip again.
still couldn’t figure it out. haha. look at his face!!! haha.
then after trying so hard to figure it out, the bottle was gone and the wine buzz kicked in. a new feeling as Takahashi-san was drunk. he kept on saying “atsui, atsui, atsui.” haha.
then we ate dessert, took a shot of grappa, and ended up with a hug goodbye. such a fun fine dining night! thank you Takahashi-san for the wonderful days in Hawaii! see you again soon.
