opps, forgot to post this last night… sorry.
day 2 Boot Camp with Tomami-san. it was either stay in the inside and go for quantity, or go to the outside and go for quality. the new South swell was pumping so we chose to go for quality.
Tomami-san caught some nice long rides. all the way from the outside till the inside. i’m guessing 45 second rides.
before she took off on this set wave, i said “stay low, hold on, and smile!”
it was the most beautiful ride of the day! ended up riding perfect long waves and Tomami-san didn’t fall once. that’s perfect surfing!

then went to foil Diamond Head. waves were way overhead and kind of big! by the end of the 3 hour session, i wanted bigger! it’s amazing how challenging this stuff is!!!
U.S. Government issued a travel advisory for Playa del Carmen in Mexico. people getting shot, raped, robbed, or kidnapped every day. now they are advising Americans not to visit there. i stayed there before i went to Cuba and felt pretty safe even riding the bus. i guess it all comes down to wrong place at the wrong time. not just in Mexico, but anywhere in this world.
