i went out to the North Shore yesterday afternoon and couldn’t believe how big it was!
after the sun set, i saw this guy take off at 2nd reef Pipeline, bottom turn, and pull into the biggest and thickest barrel! then as he shot out of the barrel, everybody was yelling and i heard one guy say “That was Wakita!” i was so happy to see and hear that!
it was a really nice golden sunset from the Billabong House!
then the family and friends and supporters of Seth Moniz started to show up. Billabong made a big party for the new WCT competitor!
live entertainment and lots of Aloha flowing in the air…
then more and more people started to show up. i was just watching everybody congratulate Seth for a years of hard work. i’m so proud of him!
then photo time with the kids. it was an amazing night of celebration. next year we will hopefully be celebrating his World Championship title! haha!
