Aya my Favorite

So good to surf this morning with the boys and girls at Bowls.  The conditions were very nice as you can see.  And the vibe was great as you can see.  Jeannie Chesser so good!

I almost wasn’t going to paddle out this morning.  But as I was checking the waves, I saw my nephew paddling out so I followed him.  As you probably know, I will never turn down the opportunity to surf with any one of my nephews.  It was nice to see Isaiah Moniz ripping.

OMG, Heavens Coins or “Hoshi no kinka” just came out on Amazon Prime Video.  This is one of the very first dramas I watched when I was living in Japan.  I borrowed it from the “weekly video rental shop” near my house, locked myself in my room for 3 days, and watched the whole series.  I learned Japanese and at the same time, fell in love with Aya.

It’s kind of a sad and depressing story.  How could you not feel sorry for Aya.

Always crying in every episode and I couldn’t stop feeling sorry for her.  Kawaiso.  I recommend this drama to those of you who want to study Japanese.  I learned so much from watching this.  I also learned sign language too.  You will learn the “I Love You” sign language in the very first episode.  And you will also fall in love with Aya too.  Haha.

Shogun Binge-Watch

A lot of my dive friends ask me about spearfishing in Japan.  I tell them that it’s illegal.  That’s probably why Japan has so much fish.  If you try and get caught, it’s a 2 million yen fine or 3 years in prison.  A lot of the beaches have signs posted so no excuses…

I finally had the chance to watch Shogun.  The past 2 days I binge watched it and finished 10 episodes.  I’m so fascinated with samurai, geisha, swords, and culture.  If I could chose another life, I would chose to be a samurai for sure.
