Hong Kong Style….

we in hawaii have one more day left so i’m going to enjoy it!!

yesterday was a fishing day. i think every boat on the island was in the water. the boat ramp in kaneohe was so full of cars with trailers that they had to park all the way up the street. good thing we went early…

i’ve never seen anything like this in my entire life. a triple rainbow???? look closely and you can see 3 rainbows. it was pretty cool…

for years, angela maki has been wanting to free dive. yesterday she got her chance. kyle and i taught her how to use a pole spear and it didn’t take long until she got her first fish. she dove down 20′, waited on the bottom, and shot this kole. a great eating fish! too use a spear gun is easy, but to use a pole spear takes some talent. good job maki! today, you’ll probably see her down at the dive shop buying full camouflage wetsuit, spear gun, and everything else. we call that, the dive bug!! haha….

after coming in from a dive, your body is super cold from being in the water all day. then gets colder when washing off the boat and sticking your hand in the ice cold cooler taking out the fish.[:???:] then you get to kyle’s house and his mom prepares you the ultimate ramen. talking about hitting the spot!!! thank you mrs. nakamoto for warming up our bodies with your oishi ramen…

the surf was junky this morning so we went diving instead. too tired to write anything to just take a look at the photos….

the east side was amazing. double rainbow? yup, but this turned into a triple rainbow. so beautiful…

we started off in the deep blue. after 3 long hours, no fish!! so we came into the reef and got enough fish to have a great new year party!!!

after our dive, it was sashimi hawaiian/japanese style!!!
