good morning. 6:10am and the waves look pretty fun on the north shore. 2-4′ maybe? town is knee high. north winds from tomorrow so get it while you can. i’m going surfing!! have a nice day..

have you heard what they are planning for bowls? check out this map. goodbye parking lot for bowls, kaisers, and rockpiles surfers. get use to parking at magic island and paddling across the channel. if your lucky, you will get an infection from the dirty ala wai water. if your not so lucky, you will get run over by a huge sailboat trying to make it out the channel. which do you prefer????

good evening. windy day here in hawaii. i was online once again trying to figure out my travel schedule. i’m starting to hate this new technology. even though i’m trying to book flights in asia online, i end up calling the agent in a far country that barely speaks english. it’s frustrating repeating myself, with a bad phone reception, and then getting cut off. then doing it all over again. there are so many ways getting to padang airport in indonesia that it’s confusing. going through singapore? bangkok? dempasar? jakarta? malaysia? i wish i could fly straight there. oh well. planning it might be tough for now but once i board that boat, i’m going to open a bintang and scream at the top of my voice![:??????:]
**another thing i was doing today was checking the excess baggage for surfboards. wanna hear the big news out of JAL or japan airlines?
starting feb. 1st. or should i say, started feb. 1st, new charges for surfboards excess baggage went into effect.
Honolulu to Japan:
1st surfboard= $42.
2nd surfboard=$252
3rd surfboard and every surfboard after that=$252.
Honolulu to Bali:
1st surfboard= $55
2nd surfboard=$330
3rd surfboard and every surfboards after that=$330.
i was planning to take 3 surfboards to bali totaling $715. not anymore….
and if you think your smart to fool the staff when checking in? forget it. they open the bags and count your boards.
and get this, that’s the charges for one way. coming back, expect to get screwed in the butt again….
