In Hawaii….

good morning. 6;30am thursday morning. the waves should be going off on the north shore today. it’s morning sickness and bumpy right now but as soon as the trade winds kick in and the tide drops, the waves should be going off. town still has a little swell but not as big as yesterday. wait, i just seen a chest high set at bowls and one stand up paddle boarder is on it already. another day of waves all around the island. want to check out waimea bay yesterday? on the island of mahini in french polynesia of tahiti, there is only one hotel. the rooms sit in the ocean overlooking the crystal clear water. i’d guess that a room like that would cost at least $800/night. too expensive for surfers or divers. if i paid that much for a room like that, i would take home the furniture. and everything else in the room. haha… i went there to borrow an internet connection and my friend tim bought me a $9 hinano beer. takai!!!

living in hawaii has it’s rewards. just take a look at this sunset from waikiki. it’s like this almost every day. sit on the bench, sip a glass of wine, and the person your with will remember it forever…

good evening. surfed bowls today. head high sets and pretty dam good. paddled out and i didn’t see not one of the boys out. i don’t think anybody even knew there were waves in town today….

then took a walk by the new hilton hawaiian village pool. they blocked it off because they were filming a commercial. had 5 naked girls in the pool playing water balloon fight. it was nuts…. haha..

then i was getting hungry and i had no time so a rainbow’s drive-in loco moco was the call…

3 minutes and i was done. the thing that pissed me off is that a loco moco cost $3.60 now days. gosh, i remember when it was $2.10. inflation sucks….
anyway, big waves on the north shore and finally the trade winds are back. this week is looking good for surf. pipe, sunset, haleiwa, and every where should be going off. get your guns out and be ready… have a great evening…
