DAWN PATROL KAISERS WITH ERI-CHAN…..
Dawn Patrol….
Canon, Hawaii…..
good morning. 6am and it’s looking pretty foggy outside. no clear blue sky today. oh my gosh!!! i have a photo shoot so i’m pretty shocked!!! the waves are still small, clean, and fun. well, gotta do what i have to do. hope it clears up. have a nice day and see you in the water….
i just bought a used camera off ebay so i took it to canon in hawaii to have it checked. they will clean the sensor and check out everything for $30. it takes 5 business days… umm…. i wonder if every thing will be ok…
the photos hanging on the wall are just amazing. check out the full moon photo at waikiki. i still don’t understand how to take a full moon photo. every time i try, the moon looks so small. why is that?
underwater photos always amaze me. i’ve seen hawaiian monk seals so many times while i’m diving. they just swim around you and look you right in the eye. it’s pretty cool…
photos are inspiring and i’ll tell you why. after i seen this photo, it made me want to take a photo like this, or even a better one. i know where a whole lot of turtles swim in clean water. next time instead of taking my speargun with me, i’m taking my fisheye camera and am going to get a shot like this. the only thing different will be there will be no bubbles from a scuba tank. it will just be the turtle swimming in pure tranquility… shit, i can’t wait…..
and last, want to congratulate my little nephew seth moniz for making the honolulu advertiser newspaper yesterday morning. good job seth!!
Travis Masutani: Free Diver/Free Surfer….
good evening. what another hot day it was today. i went out to the north shore to meet up with clark little. clark gave me some presents for our go-naminori readers that will be given away next month. gosh, they look so cool that i want to keep them all. haha.. who ever wins these are going to be very happy…
on the way out, i stopped by china town to pick up my favorite “HI LO LONGAN”. this stuff is expensive but it’s so sweet. sweeter than lychee… this will be my desert for tonight….
i met travis on a boat in timor, indonesia. i was amazed on how good he surfed, how good he can play the guitar, how good he can sing, and how good he can dive. there were many nights where i would lie down on the deck before i’d sleep and listen to travis jam some hawaiian songs. he’s got it down. i’m surprised he’s not in some famous hawaiian band yet….
travis spent some time on the big island. big island=big lobsters. this one weighted 6lbs….
travis, thanks for the invite to dive with you up there. when the time is right, let’s do it. i’ll bring my wasabi and shoyu…. then we can eat sashimi, listen to music, surf, drink beers, and have fun. just like how we did it in indonesia…. teremakasi
**and last, i’ve been getting so many comments from my youtube vids. some are funny, and some are not. here is a funny one…
