after i caught 3 waves at bowls, i drove through waikiki and seen a contest going on at queen’s. SURF THE NATION contest scored. the waves were chest high and queens doesn’t get any better than that. i wish i had my camera because today was a picture perfect day. maybe tomorrow i’ll go down there and get a few shots. i was talking story with atsushi and mari-chan who are in the contest. good luck guys!! ganbare!!

contests at queen’s are the best. free drinks and free entertainment right in front of your hotel. can’t beat that….

a friend of mine called me today to ask where that bar was at. i didn’t tell him. haha…

good saturday morning. hey, got some waves in town. looks like the swell came up a little. bowls has some 2′ sets but there are so many surfers out. i counted 26 already. the tide is really low now so the waves should be getting better as the day goes by. it’s a really sunny, trade wind day. can’t beat this weather… i’m going surfing!!! have a nice day….

last night, i met up with my classmates to celebrate holli’s birthday. even though it was on april 1st, we celebrated it anyway. it’s never too late!!!

we went to this bar near my house. it’s kind of a secret spot because i didn’t know about it for so long. and i ain’t telling where it is because that’s my new hang out spot… good food, and good beers… this one is one of my favorite; red stripe from jamaica. with oyster shooters in the back….

and this one is boddingtons pub ale from england. this one was my favorite…. gosh, we had a great time. wanted to congratulate holli on her belated birthday, and thank all the girls and boys for coming down. let’s do it again!!! kanpai!!![:?????????:][:?????????:][:?????????:]

good evening. i pulled up to bowls this morning super excited to surf. it was packed but i didn’t care. i paddled out and had a great session. so great that i almost surfed for 3 hours. the waves were chest high and really clean. the water finally warmed up and it felt good to be back surfing in hawaii. i had so much fun that i can’t wait to surf again. i was supposed to go on a short 2 day trip today but it got cancelled. everything happens for a reason right? right… i’m about caught up with my emails and my trips for the rest of the year are pretty much planned. it’s a job somebody has to do. and that somebody is me… haha… have a nice evening…
**ok, here is a video clip i’ve been holding out on for over a year. why? because i kind of don’t like showing secret spots. this one is in the philippines and the reason why i’m showing it now is because i heard the river has poison chemicals and stuff coming out of it. a few surfers got really sick and the mercury levels that were collected were 10 x the standards. so if you want to grow another ear, or lose all your hair, go ahead…. check out this video of “poison river mouth in the philippines”…

here is a much cleaner reef break somewhere in the philippines. only about 10 people on this planet know where it is and i’m one of them. this spot will remain a secret and i can’t wait to go back there someday…
