good morning. 6am on this chilly friday morning. another windy day with small waves around the island. best bet is the east side. or, a good day to longboard waikiki… see you in the water….

well, the start of the 2009 WCT ASP WORLD TOUR is happening as i speak. everybody had 2 months of rest and it’s time to rumble…. kelly slater, mick fanning, and joel parkinson are the favorites for sure. who’s going to win? ummmm…..

anybody want to bet me that kelly slater will win it? you’d be a sucker to bet against superman…. he’s going for his 10th world title and if he wins this contest, i’ll put all my money on him… i’ll be watching this contest online for sure…

good evening. another windy day with 40mph gusts. guy hagi said it’s going to be like this for the next 7 days at least. gosh, i feel sorry for all the surfers paying big money to surf the north shore this winter season. while i was driving home from the north shore today, i was thinking about how i feel when i’m in another country and the waves are junky for a long time. then i thought to myself “at least you can still surf in hawaii right?” yeah, the waves aren’t good now but at least you can surf. i spent months in shonan, japan not being able to surf at all. flat waves and cold water. so if your sitting in a house on the north shore bummed out about the waves, just think “it could be worst”…..

staying right at rocky point is the best. surf, take a nap, surf, do computer work, then check out the surf right before sunset time….

pack a cooler with some ice cold steinlager pure beer, sit on the sand with some friends, and enjoy the surf and the amazing sunset. by the way, if haven’t tried this beer, you don’t know what your missing out. steinlager pure has no additives or preservatives so it’s as pure as it gets. no aftertaste, no hangover. the first time i tried it was about 8 months ago and ever since than, i’ve been drinking it all the time. it’s by far my favorite beer….

and we aren’t the only ones watching the beautiful sunsets. there are houses lined up and down the coast with pro surfers living there. here is mikala jones, jamie sterling, and friend enjoying the same thing we were. 2 houses down, jack johnson was doing the same thing. beers, friends, and a great time….

it’s like this almost every evening… hope you get to enjoy the beauty of hawaii like the way we do….
