Surfer Boys Family

The cool thing about teaching kids how to surf is you get to see their real emotions.  The nervousness, the excitement, and the uncertain.  But once we get into the ocean, everything is always fine.

Aki-san on his first wave with the perfect style.

Jun-san smiling on each and every ride.

This was Tomo-san’s very first time surfing so I’m sure he was nervous.  But after a few waves, the nerves were gone.

Hattori-san is a good example for his kids.  If you see your Dad surfing really good, you’re going to want to surf really good too.

It’s been a long time since we surfed together so I was really happy to see Hattori-san surfing better than ever.

Got to do a ride along with Jun-san.  Pretty cool photo.

Thank you boys for a wonderful day of surfing!  Keep on surfing and keep on smiling!

August 7 , 2023 Hawaii Surf Report

Yesterday once more:  Very crowded…

Good morning 3:15am.
Ala Moana waist to chest high and good.
Diamond Head shoulder high and bumpy.
Trade winds at 20mph.
Sunny and warm.
Going to the sea.
Have a wonderful day!

Bowls Lover

The past few days have been identical.  Super cool mornings paddling out in the dark.  This morning seemed darker than yesterday.  Is Summer coming to an end already?

Nakahodo-san caught the best Bowls left of his life.  He surfed it perfectly and enjoyed the ride from start to finish.  Now he’s a Bowls Lover.

The surf report forecasted the waves to be smaller this morning but it was bigger!  Double the size than yesterday and 1/4th the crowd.  All the Uncles out couldn’t believe it!  So we surfed Bowls and caught some nice sets.

So fun riding along a nice ride like this.

Another amazing day of Boot Camp.

Then I went back out with the Hattori-san family.  It must be a Father’s dream to surf with his 3 boys.  Photos coming up tomorrow.  Goodnight for now.
