Another beautiful morning in Hawaii. We paddled out really early again but went to surf somewhere else. Something different is always good.
That was a great call because that somewhere else was so good! Different wave and different vibe.
It’s fun watching this girl being so connected to the ocean. We can surf anywhere on this island and she’ll figure the wave out pretty quickly.
And the turns are getting better and better. Smiling all the way.
I’m sure she can’t will till tomorrow. Neither can I.

Right before Covid happened, I went to teach my friends how to spearfish. We drove to this shallow area to catch a small fish so I could take that small fish to the deep blue to try to catch a big fish. The girls had no idea what was going on so they were just watching the whole time.
A few minutes later, a big fish showed up so I took a deep breath, dove down, and shot it. We brought it back to the boat and tried to put it into that small red cooler. Haha. It didn’t fit so I filleted it and the big fresh slabs of meat fit perfectly. The carcass went back into the ocean for the sharks.
We had “Rainbow Runner” sashimi for a week! One of my most precious diving memory with the girls that I will never forget…
