The Magical Place

It was so cool to watch the kids free diving in the deep blue.  They are so confident and very calm.  Their hunting techniques are incredible.  To have that kind of knowledge at that young age is only going to make them better men.

And these kids will never starve.  They can survive simply off the sea.

I was watching a papaya tree grow today.  How it transforms from the flower to the fruit is so amazing.  Now we just have to hope the birds stay away from it.

When asked where was the most magical place you visited before.  My answer has always been on the top of Mt. Fuji.  I still get chicken skin reminiscing the sunrise that morning.  No place on earth is that beautiful.

100% Superstar Commitment

When Seth Moniz was a little kid, I use to call him up and tell him where to meet me.  He would always show up no matter how big or small the waves were.  On this particular day, Velzyland was as good as it gets.  If you surfed Velzyland before, you know how hollow and thick these double up waves are.  Seth would paddle in to these waves and make it look so easy.  It was this raw talent of reading the waves and taking off at the most critical spot that made him a Pipeline/Backdoor specialist he is today.  That is 100% confidence.

Then after surf, I would take the kids out for a meal.  Shun Murakami and Seth Moniz.  The cutest kids ever!  And now 14 years later, both surf superstars!
