October 20, 2023 Hawaii Surf Report
HIFF: TRILOGY: NEW WAVE + HOMECOMING + STOKER MACHINE
Everybody was expecting the swell to be bigger and more consistent today. BUT, it was the opposite. Not enough waves for all the locals at Bowls means tension in the air. I felt like I was at a heavy local spot in Japan or something. Visitors rode nothing. 
The swell has a lot of westerly direction so the rights are as good as it gets. I rode my best right of the year so far. It was endless.

Movie starts at 6:15pm at Kahala Theatres. Big comfortable seats that recline. Being your drink and buy some popcorn. See you guys there!
Late Summer Winner?
We’re in the middle of October and get one of the best South Swells of the year? North shore was 15′ yesterday and Bowls was head high. What other island in the world will you have waves on all shores with offshore conditions? I’m falling in love with Hawaii even more. So excited for the upcoming months.
Daisuke-san started surfing because of the corona virus lockdown. He surfed in Japan, Hawaii, and now California. He just entered a contest at Trestles and WON his division!
