The waves were small this morning but if you waited for the sets, it was very good.  This girl got all the good ones!  

Lots of “uni” or sea urchin on the shallow reef.  Be very careful.

We paddled out to Rockpiles in the morning because nobody was out.  Scored!

Round 2 was back to Sandy Beach.  It was so beautiful!  

Good to see this girl surfing out there very comfortably now.  The first time was scary for her, but now she can paddle out by herself and have a great session.  Scored!

Sandy Beach is always beautiful.  But yesterday, it was extra beautiful.

I was surprised how big and clean the waves were.  My student jumped in with her camera for a photo session.  I was curious how her photos would turn out since it was her first time.

This was her result.  Wow!  That’s pretty incredible!  Good job girl!

Of course, now she’s hooked on taking photos.  I know that feeling all so well.  I started doing this from 12 years old and seeing the results is always rewarding.
