yesterday was crowded so being that today was Sunday, i thought it would be super crowded.  BUT, when i got out, there were only 2 girls out.  the waves were super good so i scored this morning!!!

for the past 20 months, i hardly spoke any Japanese.  that’s the longest time since i learned how to speak Japanese 30 years ago.  so i started to learn it all over again.  30 years ago i learned how to speak Japanese by watching Japanese dramas, so that’s what i’m doing now.  this one is pretty interesting.  it’s a reality show about young aspiring actors and actresses acting out love scenes.

these are the best dramas to learn Japanese because they use everyday Japanese.  you will learn a lot of love words, and love language.  i learned some pretty useful words and i can’t wait to use it.  haha.  just joking…

Falling in love like a romantic TV drama.  it’s on Netflix!

the instant i set foot on Molokai, my mind is at ease.  i feel like time stops.  the phones go off and you just live in the moment.  the moments are slow, calm, and very peaceful.  i don’t get that feeling anywhere else in the world.  

Benji fell in love with free diving.  he’s the newest edition to the young generation dive crew.  he dives like how he surfs.  and if you see how this kid charges big scary waves, you can imagine how he dives.  sometimes he scares me…

before, i use to have to do everything.  but now the kids can do it so i just sit on the table watching.  this dinner, they decided to do it very simple so just a little olive oil, salt and pepper.  

we threw it on the grill and it came out perfect!  sometimes simplicity is best!  

we stayed up for hours and hours watching the stars.  there were shooting stars everywhere and when all 4 of us can see the same shooting stars, you know the night is special…
