i was passing Bowls when the pod of dolphins were swimming through.  Neal was out shooting photos so i took him out to sea and all the dolphins were swimming right around him.   

i was taking photos like this from the boat, so i can imagine the kind of photos Neal was taking with his $6000 underwater camera.  i can’t wait to see it!

it’s pretty cool to see yourself foiling from behind.  i just love the spray coming off the mast.

foiling or surfing, both make me a very happy man!  thanks again Neal!  see you in the water!!!

Good morning 3:40am.
Ala Moana chest high sets and perfect.
Diamond Head shoulder high and good.
Light winds at 10mph.
Sunny and warm.
Going to surf.

today was a tricky day for waves because the swell was just starting to show up, and it was very crowded.  so we went searching for the perfect wave.

Bowls looked super fun.  we ended up surfing somewhere else for 3 hours.  super super fun!

the trade winds will be very light this week so every morning will look like this.  it was like a lake!

then guess what showed up?  dolphins!  there was a pod of about 40 dolphins swimming right next to us the whole time.

this pod was very friendly and was swimming in and out of the surfers.  if you were in the water from Kaisers to Big Rights early this morning, you guarantee saw these dolphins swimming right in front of you.  it was pretty amazing.  surfing perfect waves with the dolphins is every surfers dream…
