Giant UKU

the water at Bowls was super dirty from all the rain yesterday so we went to look for some clean water.  we found clean water, and we found clean waves too.  it’s a secret spot so no more photos…

Joshua was 13 years old when i took this photo.  i remember the kids just hovering right above me when i was underwater trying to hunt.  i use to yell at them and tell them to stop scaring the fish away.  they never listened because they were scared.  but i forgave them because they would hold my fish after i speared it.  they didn’t know that was way more scary because sharks love dead fish.  haha.

now, Joshua gets mad when people swim above him while he dives.  haha.  but, he finds a way to get away, and finds a way to spear big fish like this 18lbs Uku.  congratulations Joshua!

when i first saw this photo, i was baffled.  why are the terrorists called the “Taliban” wearing USA Military uniforms and holding our guns?  and why are they driving our Ford trucks too?  this can’t be real but if it is, i’m speechless…

Spray, Rust, and Seafood

check out this photo of Jerome yesterday morning at Bowls.  look how clean the wave is, look how much power in the turn, and look at the big spray.  i was super stoked to see this!

when i pulled up to Jurassic’s, i saw a car parked in the front row.  i would not recommend parking your car in the front row with onshore winds, a rising swell, and an upcoming tide.

i already knew what was about to happen.

salt water all over and under this car.  in a couple years, this whole car will break and rust.  i’m guessing the owner paddled out at low tide when the waves were smaller…

want to congratulate Shin for spearing this 40lbs Ulua right in Waikiki.  that’s amazing!!!
