Dana @ Perfect Inside Bowls

Good morning 4:45am.
Ala Moana chest high and little bumpy. Cleaning up later.
Diamond Head head high and bumpy.
East winds at 25mph.
Dirty water so be careful.
Rainy morning becoming sunny mid-morning.
Going to the sea.
Have a wonderful day!

Colorful to Black/White

i had zero expectations this morning because i thought the waves were super small and junky.  i just wanted to start my day with one or two waves so i paddled out to Bowls.  and guess what?  it was absolutely perfect!  this was the cleanest and most perfect conditions of the Summer.  it was so glassy that you couldn’t see the waves coming in.  on normal days, you can do 5 maneuvers on one wave.  but today, you could do 10.  here is Tommy setting up for turn number 1 of 10.

there was a big storm coming with heavy rain and strong winds.  going to Jurassic’s is a gamble but since this morning was so perfect, why not gamble in the afternoon?  and yes, it was exactly how i thought it would be!  stormy, challenging, and super fun!

this kid had his broken hand in a cast.  then he wrapped his cast in a plastic bag so he could surf.  haha!

almost everybody out at Jurassic’s got stung by box jellyfish.  one wrapped around my leash and stung my ankle.  ouch!!!

another long and amazing day in the sea.  can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings…

Fruits of Life

when i’m laying on the bottom of the ocean floor, i feel so much at peace that i can fall asleep.  it’s so comfortable and so beautiful.

Joshua asked me “hey Uncle, you want menpachi?”  i said “yeah!”  20 minutes later, he caught me all these menpachi.  he’s become an expert hunter.

my Mom told me i should put some fertilizer on my plants.  i tested it and put it on this tomato plant.  it was super healthy the day before and now it’s super dying.  omg!

thankfully i didn’t put the fertilizer on all of them.  this one is flowering and turning into mini tomatoes.  nature is so amazing…

i planted 5 cherry tomato plants in my garden.  they are looking very good!

want to thank Neal Miyake for a shot from last year.  it’s never too late to relive the moment!  super stoked!
