Spray Me Coming Soon

another lovely morning.  went out super early to beat the morning crew.  it was so beautiful!

this 100′ yacht has a 150′ mast and when it’s lite up at night, it’s so beautiful!

now i’m practicing something different.  i try to get the foil as tilted as possible because i’m trying to get the wing to pop out.

then when it pops out like this, i do a surfing kind of snap.  that releases the foil and then the spray will follow.

now that i practice it on the flat surface, i just have to catch a big wave and do the same thing.  if i can perfect this, i will be going to another level.  and i hope that comes really soon!

July 30, 2021 Hawaii Surf Report

Another day in paradise…

Good morning 4am.
Ala Moana knee to waist high and perfect.
Diamond Head chest high and good.
Trade winds at 20mph.
Sunny and warm.
Going to the sea.
Have a wonderful day!

Tsunami Watch

i was half sleeping when i got a text from my boater friend.  he said turn on the TV.  there was a big earthquake in Alaska so they issued a tsunami warning for Hawaii.  from half sleeping to wide awake making sure everything was prepared.

first thing i think about is Mayuki.  she’s already ready for anything so all i had to do was to take her out to sea.  water and basic necessities always in place for emergencies so that’s the safest place to be.  luckily the tsunami watch was cancelled so i could sleep peacefully.

woke up early this morning and took the kids out to sea.  we surfed and laughed all morning long.

then we went to snorkel with the turtles.  it was a very peaceful and beautiful morning…
