when i shoot photos, i don’t want to miss anything.  so when i taught this young girl how to take photos when she was 7 years old, i always told her to focus on the subject and don’t miss anything!

now, that same girl can play the hip hop music out loud, sip on wine, and still not miss a thing.  good timing on this one girl.  gosh, i just love my new Vesso surfboard by Gen Asano…

then as it got dark, i took off on my last wave which was the best.  i did a nice off the lip and when i got back to the boat, she told me “sorry, i missed your last wave because i was taking a photo of the moon.”  then when i came home and saw this, i was so happy!  even i didn’t see the moon!  good eyes girl!

Almost Everyday…

Good morning 4am.
Ala Moana chest high and perfect.
Diamond Head shoulder high and good.
Light trade winds at 15mph.
Sunny and warm.
Going to the sea.

wow!  i almost missed this!  i drove to Diamond Head early this morning but when i checked it, it looked bumpy and weird.  so i jumped on Mayuki, drove around,  and this was waiting for me!  

right next to me, a turtle popped up his head.  he was more surprised than me!  haha…

then the dolphins were at the same place at the same time.  nobody was bothering them so i put the engines on idle and watched them for 30 minutes.

jumping and spinning all around.  they were so happy!  

and this is what it looked from under the surface.  there were about 40 dolphins swimming so freely.  can’t wait to see them tomorrow.  same place, same time!
