No thank you…
Good morning 4am.
North shore head high and perfect.
Ala Moana waist to chest high and perfect.
Diamond Head chest high and good.
Trade winds at 15mph.
Sunny and warm.
Going North.
Have a wonderful day!

i work best at night. the reason is it’s cool, nobody’s around, and it’s so peaceful so i can think. and when you’re fixing electrical wires right above the gas tank, you better be able to think. one mistake and “BOOM!” good thing i had my headlamp. i’m pretty sure i looked like i was a burglar or somebody stealing something off a boat in the middle of the night. haha…

the North Shore boys came to town again so we jumped on Mayuki to do some exploring. i thought i knew the South Shore like it’s my backyard but Kaiborg taught me some things i missed all these years. it was a perfect smooth endless wave that i pay thousands of dollars to fly around the world looking for. we were screaming and yelling like 3 kids at Disneyland. pure stoke!

next time you guys from Japan come to Waikiki, you will see extra white sandy beaches. they are pumping tons of sand from the ocean to the beach.

more beach means more people. and when the next South Swell comes and washes the sand off the beaches like it always does, expect a perfect wave breaking over a perfect sandbar right in Waikiki. a surfers dream…

we’re already past mid-April so whale season is usually over in Hawaii. it was pretty cool the other day when i just chanced it and drove out to sea. it was as calm as it gets and the water was crystal clear.
and to watch a newborn whale swim up and down right next to Mayuki was a treat. it seemed like it felt safe so it kept right in front the whole time.
then once in a while, Mama whale would come to check up on baby. it was one of the most peaceful moments i had in a very long time. totally calm, total silence, and nature at its most amazing moment…
back to foiling. then back to surfing. i’m going to go back and forth this Summer.
but once i figure out how to get barreled on the foil, it’s going to be hard to go back to surfing. the main reason is when i foil, i can catch which ever wave i want. but when i surf, i have to wait my turn. and i don’t like to wait. haha…
