Good morning 4:40am.
North shore coming up to 10-15′. Morning sickness but should get better.
Ala Moana waist high and good.
Diamond Head waist to chest high sets and little bumpy.
Trade winds back at 20mph.
Sun, showers, and rainbows.
Going to the sunrise.

38 Minutes: This is not a Drill!!!
exactly 2 years ago today: where were you on the morning of January 13, 2018? i was on a boat trip and was surfing a secret spot for 3.5 hours. nobody else was out so we kept on surfing and surfing. then when i got back to Mayuki, i checked my phone and there were many messages and missed calls!!! come to find out, there was a warning of a missile from North Korea heading to Hawaii! i was ok because i was in the ocean which is the safest place to be, but i could imagine how many people in Hawaii must have been freaking out. when i think about it, that’s pretty scary to think that you have just a few minutes to live…
i didn’t get a chance to watch this documentary yet, but just the thought of having a short time of life left to live must have been terrifying. i’m pretty sure it changed a lot of peoples outlook on life and how to live it to the fullest. so yeah, good things came out of the famous false alarm. what would i have done if i was on land and got the alert? i would have jumped on Mayuki and drove far out to sea. ever since then, i keep Mayuki always ready for any kind of emergency…
