No Crazy Plastic!

this time of year is pretty tricky to forecast.  you can go by the surf report which is wrong most of the times, or you can go by seeing or feeling.  since i’m already in the ocean at dark, i only can go by feeling.  and so far, my feeling has been good because once i can finally see, the waves and conditions have been spot on perfect!

check out Kuta Beach in Bali.  this is just one day of rubbish pilled up on the beach.  yes, they pick up 90 tons of rubbish every single day off the beach in Kuta.  this is one of the reasons why i stopped using plastic…

i went to the factory to check up on my new boards.  almost done!

in Japan, it’s illegal to ride in the back of trucks.  in Hawaii, it’s legal.  BUT, i do not recommend riding in the back of trucks like this guy is.  i saw this on the Likelike highway!!!  that’s crazy!!!

A Snowy Hawaiian Wedding Day…

when people are in love, when families are strong, and when you have determination, life goes on.  due to the pandemic, it would have been impossible to have a wedding here in Hawaii because thousands would have shown up.   so Micah took his wedding to the snowy mountains somewhere in the USA.  and he took his closest friends, which were his brothers Isaiah, Joshua, and Seth…

i want to congratulate the new Micah and Ashley Moniz.  welcome to the family Ashley!  i’m so happy for this young couple…

i had to watch the wedding on ZOOM, which was pretty smart of them to do.  that’s the closest the rest of us could have been.  and when i saw my nephews all grown up, i got teary eyed.  these boys had their ups and downs in life, but each of them had their own ability to bring each other up.  i couldn’t be any prouder of these 4 Moniz boys.  they are all grown men now and i can’t wait to hug them when they get back.

that’s Micah on the left when he was 1 or 2 years old.  it was a blast watching him grow up to become a fine young gentleman.  now i get to watch his 3 kids grow up, and maybe 5 or 10 more in the future.  i hope…
