made a quick call to a friend.  “hey, let’s go explore the mountains behind our house.”  30 minutes later, we were up the mountain having the time of our lives.  i wore a bright shirt just in case i got lost.  haha.

there were nice trails everywhere!  we came across this crazy jump!  i was too scared to do it but that’s my new goal.  someday i’m going to fly over that thing!

as for now, we’ll stay on the trails which is ok because it’s amazing.  we ended up exploring the whole mountain and can’t wait to go again.

want to say hello to my greatest friends having a blast on the mountains in Japan.  miss you guys!!!

when ever i’m in the water, i can see the influence Kelia Moniz has on so many people.  it actually makes me really proud.  so when i get any chance to help these girls surf like Kelia, i’m in 100%came home and babysat Kelia’s niece and nephew.  i was playing with them and thinking to myself “another world champion?”  i wouldn’t doubt it…this boy is going to be strong because he has a strong Mama and Papa.  can’t wait to teach this kid how to surf!  so walking into my house after a long day, no complaints from this Uncle…Nao-san eating healthy meals in Japan at Niwa.  omg, i could eat this everyday!and Seira-chan eating this right here in Hawaii.  Omg, i could eat this everyday too!i took Seira-chan with me to pick up my board.  i told her to listen to our conversation because Akila and i were coached by the same man, his dad Ben Aipa.  all that coaching we still apply in our lives till this day.  we were talking about COMMITMENT.  when Coach Ben use to tell us to GO, we had to GO!  no other choice.  so yeah, we’d take off on every wave big or small giving it our 100%.  so Akila was telling me how he still applies the 100% commitment to his current life, in and out of the water.  whether it’s surfing, business, or relationships.  and yes, so do i.  i hope Seira-chan can apply that kind of thinking to her bright future.  give everything you do your 100%!
