North shore waist to chest high and clean.

Ala Moana knee high and clean.

Diamond Head chest high and bumpy.

Trade winds at 15mph now but becoming 30mph later today.

Sun, showers, and huge rainbows.

another perfect morning in paradise.  look how beautiful the waves were this morning!!! since i get up at 4am everyday, i’m a morning guy.  Hiro-san is now a morning guy too.  can’t beat this feeling…and to see him super calm is even a better feeling…Seira-chan is like a local surfer girl already.  a little shy but not when she’s surfing.  with the super glassy conditions, it felt like you’re surfing on glass…all my local friends comment on how good Seira-chan got.  they say she’s smooth and surfs beautifully.  thank you boys for the comments and support…Hiro-san is surfing smooth and beautifully now too.  when i first met him last month, my goal as a coach was to get this guy to love surfing even more than he did.  and after this past 4 days of 8 rounds of Boot Camp, he rode over 160 waves, got stronger, and most importantly, gained a lot of confidence.  you can see it in his surfing, and you can see it in his smile.  so as much as stoked Hiro-san is, so am i.  my goal to get him to smile and get him to love surfing even more is total success for both of us.  have a happy flight home…

what’s the chances of seeing a rainbow while surfing?  ask Seira-chan and she will probably say “very good chance.”  what are the chances of seeing 2 Hawaiian Monk Seals while surfing?  if you ask me, i’d say 1 in 500,000.  i surfed my whole life and this was my first time seeing this.  right at Bowls in the shallow water.  thank goodness i had my camera because nobody would have believed me.what are the chances of being a victim of identity theft?  i thought this would never happen to me and it just did.  so yeah, chances of your identity being stolen is high.  now who is going to pay this outrageous bill???what are your chances of seeing a view like this?  well, i’ve lived on this island my whole life and never knew this even existed.  it’s crazy where our bikes can take us…this is one of my favorite spots.  super open mountain for speed!  this hill doesn’t look steep but it is very steep.  so our leader Tony Moniz went down to check if it’s safe for us… he came flying up and said to me “super steep and easy to slide backwards.  maybe next time Kirby.”  when Tony says don’t go, i don’t go…i came home and was fixing something in my car.  Mateus came in to keep me company.  i couldn’t concentrate and fix my car because this kid wouldn’t stop talking and asking me questions!!!  haha.
