Ishikawa-san sent me this photo of us boys hanging out. so good to see you again!
what i’m doing right now is starting a project at my house. finally i have some time to make improvements…
once again, i never went to school for any of this. i learned it by watching my Grandpa Osaki since i was a child. and to think he built my house and now i’m taking care of it is amazing. thanks for all your teachings Grandpa!
check out this Grandpa building his future. if you don’t have a boat in Indonesia, you can’t fish. i went to visit this remote little village on a tiny island and got to experience the traditional culture. simple and amazing…
and Grandma was taking care of baby. these village people live the most simple of lives and seem to be very happy. i hope no iPhones make it there anytime soon…
and as i was thinking about where my next trip will be, i got a text from Yoshiko-san. she sent me this beautiful photo in Kyoto and now i just decided to go to Japan next. it’s crazy how a photo can inspire me so quickly. haha…
Next Trip: The Castle
Fresh Squid Luau
want to thank Ryu-san for all the goodies! eating that ramen today for lunch!
so stoked the kids love to free dive. i use to have to call them to go, but now they call me.
diving in the deep blue, one thing i love is the feeling of falling into the unknown so freely. once i put my head down, i can fall deeper and deeper into the ocean effortlessly and sometimes i don’t want it to end…
after freezing the tako Takahashi-san caught, i finally cooked it! and like always, it turned out so juicy and tender.
then i took that cooked tako and created a Hawaiian dish i love very much, squid luau.
just a scoop of this is very expensive in a restaurant. i felt like a millionaire! it came out so good!!!
