I don’t like Shave Ice???

we had a wonderful lunch yesterday.  i’m glad you guys liked the pho!   then Ayaka-san told me she didn’t like shave ice?  i said what???  so i took them straight to Waiola and now she loves shave ice!  haha… 36 degrees?  this has been the hottest Summer in my life.  and also my busiest so that means i’m spending even more time in the sun!   picked up the 2 doctors in the evening for a classic sunset session.  look at Yanagihara-san go!   it was Miyahara-san’s first time surfing so i was so happy to see him ride some nice waves!   gosh, there is no place in the world that’s better than right here… Yanagihara-san is very cool and very calm.  and you can see it in his surfing… Miyahara-san thought he was going to SUP in some canal or lagoon.  but i told him, “since the waves are super good, you should surf!”  he took the challenge, and succeeded.  now i’m sure he’ll be surfing more and more… thank you boys for the wonderful time.  keep on surfing!  Waikiki was packed last night!  i couldn’t believe how many people were there! there were some cool booths set up.  this one had an hour long line… interesting foods from paradise.  i had a great time walking around Waikiki last night but i don’t think i’ll do that again.  i got bumped into 15 times because there were way too many people…

A Surfer and a Gentlemen…

Round 1:  surfed this morning with the coolest couple!

Ayaka-san’s first time to Hawaii and first time surfing in her life!  i was so happy to be the one to teach her!

welcome to the amazing surfers world!  happy all the way!

Takeshi-san is a very good surfer, and a very good gentleman.  i was watching him enjoy surfing so much, and also watching him treating his wife like a queen.

6 months ago, Takeshi-san told his Dad that he has to try to surf once in his life when he goes to Hawaii.  Mr. Oikawa-san came to Hawaii in June and found me.  then after our wonderful session, he went back to Japan and told his son Takeshi-san that he has to surf with me once when he comes to Hawaii.  so that’s how we made this amazing connection.  Oikawa-san showed Takeshi-san the photos i took.   he told me he has never seen his Dad smile like that in his life.   now look at the son smiling too!  haha…

i was very impressed with this guys surfing, and his very impressed by his gentlemen manners he had for his wife.

thank you guys for the amazing morning!  keep on the happy marriage and keep on the surfing connection…

Round 2:  picked up 15 year old Renta-kun who is loving his life in Hawaii.  we had a great talk about surfing, school, friends, and life in Hawaii…

he can see the waves from his house so he texted me this morning, “big waves?”  i replied “huge waves!”  haha.  since i’ve been teaching Renta-kun how to surf since he was a young kid, today was the day of becoming a man in the water…

everything getting bigger and better for this happy kid.  i was so stoked to see him so calm…

good boy Renta-kun!  your Dad will be very proud of you!

Round 3:  i took 2 cool Doctors surfing in the evening.  then i came home and had no food in my refrigerator.  so i jumped on the motorcycle and headed back to Waikiki for the street party!   i left this morning at 7am and just got back home now at 9:30pm.  i’m so freaking tired!!!  good night…
