loaded up my cooler and headed to a special gathering with 4 of my closet friends i’ve known since i was 12 years old.  it was kind of a special reunion.  and one of them just moved literally 2 minutes away from my house so we’ll be doing this more often… it’s pretty cool because none of us do social media.  so nobody was using their phones unless it was to play music from the 80’s.  we talked and talked, and laughed and laughed.  so good to see you guys and girls.  we’re all getting older, and much more wiser.  finally!  haha… look at this photo Matsu sent me this morning.  i can’t believe he ate this without me! when i was leaving for work this morning, a dog ran from across the street and jumped on me!  a lost dog!  i wanted to keep him!!!  but the owner was located later so he’s home safely… paddling out early this morning with Okada-san and was greeted by Urashima Taro!  we were so happy!  this is a sign that this day will be amazing!   yes, turtles bring good luck and are loved by us surfers… then it was time to get down to business.  Okada-san surfing perfectly!   surfing at Bowls with just a few guys out.  having fun in the sun…great surfing Okada-san!  keep on Looking Forward!!!

 so happy to see my friends in Shonan all hanging out together.  Happy Birthday Maki-san!   and miss all you guys… this is a very classic photo of Eri-chan.  haha.  she would kill me if she found out i posted this.  but she should kill Naoka because he sent me this.  haha… i am very impressed with Seira-chan living the local lifestyle in Hawaii.  she can surf, she can cook, and she listens very well.  i’m sure her parents are really proud of her…   and when i say go, she goes!   because my theory of surfing is “if you don’t go, you won’t know.”  so you better go!!!   and i’m also very strict with Seira-chan.  of course i can help her climb up the sharp rocks, but that won’t be helping her.  so i let her go, and when she does something wrong, i kind of scold her.  haha.  of course i don’t like to, but it works.   after she finally came up, one of the guys said to me “oh, you’re training your daughter today?”  that’s the 5th time somebody asked me that this week!!!  so i told the guy “yes i am.”  haha… then spent the afternoon with Oshima-san and Renta-kun.  the boys loving the Hawaiian lifestyle too!   Renta-kun is getting good!  very strong and very focused.  not too much longer, i bet you he’ll be on a shortboard.   Oshima-san always surfs better when he surfs with his sons.  this is leading by example.  good parenting… gosh, i just love watching this!!!and i just love watching this too!and yes, i’m still in love with my foil.  haven’t had the time to do it much, but when i do, i’m the happiest man in the world!
