Fly to Busan

if you ever want to experience Korea, i would suggest you go to Busan instead of Seoul.  less tourist, less people, much cheaper, and way more culture.  but if you go to Busan, don’t expect anybody to understand you.  so better practice your international sign language.  it works pretty dam good here!flying to Korea from Japan is super cheap too.  a one way ticket cost me only $54 from Japan.  yes, it’s that cheap!   you can book it that day, jump on a flight, and be in Korea in 2 hours.  now i know why so many Japanese come here.  i would be here every weekend if i lived in Japan.  just the food itself is worth it!

8 Days Eye

super cool walking around in the back streets in Korea.  everything very interesting to me because i understand 0% Korean.

but i understand food.  so i love just walking around and looking at it.

tasty and delicious food everywhere!

some of the seafood was fresh, and some wasn’t.  the key is to look at the eyes.  if it’s clear, it’s usually good.  if it’s white or cloudy, forget it.

i couldn’t believe how big the squid were!

in Korea, baby tako is a delicacy.  they cut it up and eat it while it’s still alive.  so imagine having a tako leg swimming around in your stomach?  not for me.

i haven’t had a reimen like this before.  in Hawaii, this will cost $14.  but in Korea, only $4.  it was delicious!!!

omg, this shumai was the best shumai i’ve ever eaten in my life!  so juicy and so cheap!

eye report.  it’s been 8 days since my surgery and like my doctor said, it will get worst before it gets better.  it’s red, my eyes are swollen, i can feel the stitches in my eye, and it’s pretty irritated and it’s burning.  i hope none of you ever have to go through this.  can’t wait till this nightmare is over…

Extra Cold Black Sugar

omg, the abalone rice soup is amazing!  if we had this in Hawaii, i’d be eating it everyday!   and the black sugar bubble milk tea is a must.  been having these everyday. another day, another kimchee.  i haven’t eaten this much kimchee in my whole life!  just need a bowl of rice and i’m super happy!but one of the best meals i had was this chicken rice soup.  came with all kinds of kimchee, soju, and a sweet tea to end.  all for just $11! and to end my wonderful day with an extra cold beer!  cheers everybody!

oh, somebody asked me how my eye is doing.  i totally forgot about my eye!  haha…  but i think it’s doing pretty good if i forgot about it right?
