i went for a walk in front of my hotel and came across a fisherman.  he was fishing at night and reeled up these sharks.  i asked him what he was going to do with it.   then he started to clean and filet it up.  he said “this is my dinner mate.  me kids are going to love me fish and chips mate.”   haha.  woke up this morning and took 2 shots.  2 shots of the freshest squeezed fruit juice.   then went on to make my breakfast plate.  it was amazing! as i was eating, i got a text from Kelia.   she sent me a video saying “hey Unko, do you miss us Unko?”   i replied “LEAVE ME ALONE!!”  haha… went to check out Cheyne Horan’s surf school and came across his older brother Steve Horan.  we had a long and interesting conversation.  this guy is a legend too! Kelia introduced me to this marinated goat cheese.  i was spreading it over my toast in the mornings.  it was so good! and my lunch yesterday was so good too!  Thai seafood tom  yum noodle soup!  spicy and super tasty.   then went walking around and shopping. this totally caught my eye because it’s a boomerang!  i remember getting one exactly like this for a gift when i was 8 years old.  i remember taking it to the park, throwing it up high in the air, and then it started to come back straight for me.  i tried to catch it and it hit he in the head.  i was bleeding and crying.  that’s my memory of an Australia Boomerang.  haha.and now that i read the package, it says “returning boomerang.”  i guess i couldn’t read when i was 8 years old.  this isn’t a joke because this boomerang returns.  i still have the scar in my head to prove it…

 when Peter King and i were setting up the board, something very interesting happened.   a couple of Chinese people came up to us and started talking about the foil.  come to find out, they own a big factory in China that makes surfboard leashes.  and now, they want to start making foils too.   they got out their camera, took photos, and i bet you in a few months, you will see go-foil knockoffs.  but instead of paying $1,500, it would probably only cost you $300.  isn’t that crazy?   i walk around in the morning and see magic mushrooms everywhere!   please don’t put these in your morning omelet.  haha. when i told my friend Matt that i free dive, he said “OMG, i have to take you to my friends factory right now!”  10 minute later, we were at his friend Ray’s carbon fin factory.  come to find out, Ray knows so many world wide divers i know too.  such a small world!  maybe next time i come to Australia, i can go free diving!   walking in there was like walking into a candy store.  i’d be an upset kid if i left there empty handed.   look at these beautiful custom fins!  this will cost twice as much in Hawaii! so i picked up my dream blades.  it’s Madam Pele!  can’t wait to use her!  thanks Ray at Diver Fins, Australia!   then stopped by to grab a very healthy Acai Bowl with lilikoi! then went to get a super good Chinese foot massage.  a massage and a nap at the same time?  can’t beat that! then Tony and i went to stop over at the National Sanctuary.  so cool to see the kangaroos. then i got dropped off at Surfers Paradise.  a big city with big lights and many people.  something totally different to where i was the past week.   anyway, making my way back home slowly but surely.  have a wonderful night!

Get full body massage.

Electric bike ride.

Go shopping.

Watch sunset.

Eat dinner.

One glass of whisky.

Then goodnight.
