TSA for Free?

when i was at the airport yesterday, i couldn’t believe how empty it was?  and passing through the check point, i felt bad for the TSA workers.  these guys and girls are working for free because of the Federal shutdown.  kind of crazy that they haven’t gotten a paycheck for a long time and there seems like no end to this shutdown.  pretty scary thought for America now..

walking pass and saw Scoot airlines.  my friend just came to Hawaii from Japan for $85 on this airline.   that’s pretty dam cheap…

it felt so good to finally get on a long flight and have so much time to myself.  watched 3 movies and slept the rest of the 9 hour flight.  so peaceful…

i was woken up for my lunch.  after i ate all this, i was totally satisfied.  then they took away the dishes and brought a new set of main dishes.  it was a full course menu.  omg, i thought i was in a 5 Star restaurant!

this is the part of traveling i love so much.   the ultimate freedom of doing and eating what ever the heck you want…

last, i want to thank all the Federal workers for showing up to work even though you guys aren’t getting paid for it.  i respect that a lot.  without you guys, this country would be screwed up.  keep on going and hope this shutdown ends soon.  thanks again…

Ala Moana Bowls Surfer Girls: Honoka and Azita

for the past many years, i’ve been seeing these girls growing up surfing at Bowls. always smiling, and surfing so gracefully.  come to find out, they are both superstars!  Honoka and Azita jamming on the ukulele.  so cute and so cool!  so stoked to see local surfer girls spreading the aloha around the world!   and when i seen the Japan video in Tohoku after the Tsunami, i had chicken skin.  next time i see them in the water, i have lots to talk about…  good job girls!   making Hawaii so proud…
