want to thank the Tumagari-san family for our beautiful surf session yesterday. i had so much fun!

yesterday afternoon while everybody was probably taking a nap, i went to pick up Taki-san for some Boot Camp.

Taki-san’s been surfing for 15 years so i was pretty stoked to see him catch the best and longest waves in his life! amazing progress..

good job Taki-san!!!

yes everybody, this is the South shore in the winter season. so good!

i had the most amazing time this morning with the Tumagari-san family.

8 year old Kaisei-kun is the cutest kid! so energetic and so excited. and also so cool!

and so happy after we caught our first wave.

Yuki-san rode so many waves all the way till the end. i don’t know where she got all that energy to paddle all the way back out after 20x.

Tumagari-san caught some nice waves too. surfing so cool and so smooth.

sharing waves together. i’m pretty sure Kaisei-kun will never forget this day riding waves with Mom and Dad together.

when i picked up Kaisei-kun, he told me that he doesn’t like the ocean because he got stung on the face by a jellyfish in Japan. so he said he only likes the pool.

but after our first few waves, he said “i like the ocean better than the pool!” haha…

Tumagari-san use to work at the TSSC factory in Shikoku. and also a friend of Yoshioka-san at Next Surf shop in Nara. so yes, a very cool group of surfers! and very good surfers!

i just love to share the ocean with kids. i fell in love with surfing when i was a kid like this. and hopefully, this kid will love surfing forever, just like his Mom and Dad…
