Christmas Family Dinner Night…
Keep Calm and Go North Shore

pulled up to Ala Moana this morning and the waves were tiny and weak. i gave Nao-san 2 options. we can surf tiny and weak, or we can go North Shore and challenge ourselves. what do you think she said?

yup, North Shore! so we went to the North Shore and took the challenge. waves 10 more powerful then town and 100x more exciting.

i had a hard time riding on the side because the wave were too steep and powerful. i actually almost killed myself taking off on the side.

so i sat back and watched Nao-san ride the best waves of her life!

i’m teaching Nao-san how to relax and enjoy the ride. just like this. haha…

big experience and big smile! good job girl!

yes, the North shore is a challenge for anybody. but if you can keep calm, you can overcome any kind of fear.

good session girls! so happy to see all the wonderful rides. we totally scored this morning!

Maki-san got the wave of the day! this is North Shore, this is Hawaii, this is Saturday, this is score!
look in every photo and you won’t see another surfer around. we timed it so perfectly that nobody was out. lucky us!!!
I Love Photo!

want to thank the Tumagari-san family for our beautiful surf session yesterday. i had so much fun!

and the juiciest hamburger in Hawaii, Teddy’s!

yesterday afternoon while everybody was probably taking a nap, i went to pick up Taki-san for some Boot Camp.

Taki-san’s been surfing for 15 years so i was pretty stoked to see him catch the best and longest waves in his life! amazing progress..

good job Taki-san!!!

i love taking photos. everything captures my eyes. even simple coconut trees…

yesterday afternoon i took photos of the girls having fun in the sun.

yes everybody, this is the South shore in the winter season. so good!

and this one is my favorite photo of yesterday. clean water, blue sky, white clouds, and smooth ride. this is surfing, this is Hawaii…
