Ala Moana was flat so we decide to go looking for waves. all we had to do was follow the rainbow!

and it took us right here on the East side!

today we did it differently. i coached Nao-san from the beach. so it was just her and the whole ocean!

i had my foil ready so i was wanting to get into the ocean too.

but coaching was more important. Nao-san did an amazing job going out there and finding waves all by herself. i was so happy! OMG, how beautiful is this?

i was on the beach looking at all the plastic particles. each year it’s getting worst.

and a couple jellyfish too. these sting really badly!

after a couple of waves, Nao-san would come in and i’d give her a little advice.

then she’d go out and apply it. and she was surfing so good! she had the ocean all to herself. i can’t believe nobody else was out?

i wish i brought my BBQ because i already had a table set up. haha. ended up foiling a couple waves and it felt like i was foiling in Jurassic Park!

between waves, i picked up a stick and drew in the sand. i felt like a little kid again!

then we went for a warm and spicy lunch…

then some turtle bread.

then we went to Diamond Head and surfed again! we had Cliffs all to ourselves! it’s days like this when you drive around and put effort in finding waves, you will score in the end. just like us… good job today Nao-san!

pulled up to the Waikiki Yacht Club and seen a full on movie production company there.

they were filming Magnum P.I!

so much money is being pumped into our economy from movies like this. and look at this beautiful Ferrari! i would love to borrow it for a day!

but then again, i’d rather surf! different places and different feeling…

Nao-san loves Diamond Head. she says it feels more wild, more nature, and more beautiful.

i’m getting pretty good taking photos on my foil. it takes lots of concentration and balance to get a shot like this.

but when i look behind, i fall sometimes. in this case, i fell and my own foil ran me over. my shoulder hurts so bad!

where in the world can you hike a famous mountain to go surf? only at Diamond Head right?

and where in the world can you surf a perfect wave like this right in the middle of winter before the sunset? only at Ala Moana right?

Michi-san loves Boot Camp and it’s going pretty dam good!

Yesterday’s Diamond Head was the best in 2 months!!! Clean and glassy…

East side head high and wild.
Cold North winds at 25mph.
Sunny and cool.
